D-n-D Ranch Aromas, Review and Giveaway!

I spent my teenage years in the country.  While I did not exactly appreciate it then, I love it now.  Rolling hills, green pastures, farm land.  It's comforting, it's beautiful, and it's home.  D-n-D Ranch Aromas offers candles with scents from the country!  I loved browsing their scent selection and just the overall country feel I got from their website.  I felt like if I were in their store (and they do have a retail store, if you're lucky enough to live in or be passing through Colorado Springs) they'd be asking me if I'd like a slice of apple pie and a glass of milk (but I might be too busy running around smelling everything, haha!).  At D-n-D Ranch Aromas Candle & Gift Shop, and at DnDRanchAromas.com, you will find fantastically fragrant, long-lasting, hand-poured scented candles in a selection of straight out of the country jars (mason, jelly, and more), keepsake tins, votives, tealights, car air fresheners, and even tarts.   These candles are made by a candle lover, for candle lovers.

All of their year round candles are even named after animals on their ranch.  I love that!  You can check out their year round scents right here:  http://www.dndrancharomas.com/en/products/category/13/all-year-round-scented-candles.html.  I think I'd really enjoy Bentlee's Blazin' Sage... and who am I kidding, I think I'd enjoy everything else they carry too!  They have such fun scents (Jellybeans, anyone?), and awesome collections (check out The Hunk Line, and the Renaissance line)!  Right now they even have a special, 10% off their St. Patrick's Day line of scented candles.  You can find the code right on their front page.

With Spring and Summer on the way, D-n-D Ranch Aromas sent me one of their silver keepsake tins in the Bakin' Up Sunshine scent.  The candle is yellow, and is prepared with sweet bakey notes and a tart lemon scent.  It really captures a lemon pound cake, and just made me want to get in the kitchen and bake.  It didn't take long from the time I lit this candle in my kitchen for my entire house to fill with the scent of delicious lemon-y baked goodness.  I actually started to get hungry and contemplated blowing it out for that reason alone!  Hehe!  The tin is SO cute as well!  It fit right in with the country decor in my kitchen.

D-n-D Ranch Aromas has offered an amazing prize package to one of our lovely readers as well!  One of you will win a 4oz jelly jar, 12 pack of tea lights and 4 pack votives all in one fragrance of your choice!  I wish *I* could enter!!  Haha!  :o)

Auric Blends, Review and Giveaway!

Auric Blends began captivating men and women with their fragrances in 1993.  Their line of perfumes and incense are not only hand crafted, but hand crafted with the finest ingredients from around the world.

I recently had the opportunity to try a few of the products that Auric Blends produces.  I knew immediately, as soon as I found Auric Blends, that I had to try the Egyptian Goddess scent.  The name itself drew me in.  Auric Blends was kind enough to send me a nice selection of the items they carry for review.  Three of their 1/3 ounce roll on perfumes, a jar of Amber ButterWhite Gardenia perfumed solid, and Island Coconut incense.    I felt absolutely indulgent when I opened the package, everything is so beautiful.  I have not yet burned the incense but the scent is amazing.  My incense holder is too small for these sticks, but I can't wait to pick up a new holder.  I will not lie I have on more than one occaision held the pack up to my nose to breathe in the lovely scent of Island Coconut.

One of the 1/3 ouce roll on perfume oils was in their signature scent, Egyptian Goddess.  This unique blend combines soft florals, light powder and musk to create a perfume that is seductive, feminine and enticing.  I am absolutely in love with this scent.  It's bold and captivating, while still remaining gentle and feminine, and I find myself applying it more often than any other scent in my collection lately.  Addicting.  Also included were Love, and Water Goddess.  Don't you just love their product names?  Of the three I definitely prefer Egyptian Goddess, but I do enjoy Love as well.  At first it was a bit too sweet for me, but after a little while it grew on me.  They offer so many wonderful fragrance options in this line.  Golden Honeysuckle, Lavender Dreams, Sandalwood Vanilla...  It would be really interesting to wear more than one of these at a time as well I think and create your own signature fragrance.  I am especially interested in trying their Naturals line, I love the inspiration behind them.

The Amber Butter and White Gardenia perfumed solids are a real treat.  Not only are they wonderful scents (I actually seek out gardenia scents in lotion quite often, so I was excited to find this little gem tucked into the package I recieved), but they are gorgeous.  Auric Blends line of perfumed solids includes 14 different fragrances, offering richly textured perfumes carried in a base of beeswax and coconut oil.  I know I have mentioned here before that I like solid perfumes and find the staying power to be better in my experience.  I would love to try out the Black Coconut and the Golden Vanilla, but I love the White Gardenia.  It reminds me of summers at my grandmother's house, going to the beach, sitting out on her deck smelling the gardenias she had planted.  I adore the fragrance of gardenias.  The soapstone container is gorgeous as well.  My photos do not do it justice and it is absolutely a display piece, mine is currently sitting on my dresser.  I have no desire to sweep it away into a drawer or on to a shelf where it won't be seen.

In an equally beautiful handcarved rosewood container, is the Amber Butter.  The spicy, rich, warm and earthy scent of amber in a velvety and creamy solid perfume form.

Auric Blends has offered to send three lucky readers each one of their 1/3 ounce perfume roll ons in the scent of their choice!
