Pretty Woman Perfume - Review and Giveaway!

Like the notes of a song, the notes of Pretty Woman Perfume open to reveal a complex melody of florals, spices, and woods.  Its crisp, luminous bergamot top note evolves to reveal a full, vivacious middle note accord of stargazer lily, red rose, and carnation.  The fragrances's base note accord of fresh amber, patchouli, vanilla, atlas cedar, and sacred incense combine with a lingering everlasting warmth and harmony.

This fragrance was lovingly created by Barbara Orbison, and she has been involved in every step of the development from conception to launch.  She worked closely with perfumers to formulate the exact scent that she desired.  She had carefully honed this scent after having already spent years creating and wearing her own unique blend.  Barbara has said "It has been a life-long dream of mine to create a perfume that speaks to women everywhere," and "I believe that within every woman there is a Pretty Woman and my signature fragrance helps bring out that inner confidence and spirit so they feel strong, empowered, sensual and pretty."  I know I feel all of those things when I am wearing a fragrance that speaks to me. 

I recieved for review a beautiful Pretty Woman Perfume scented candle in black.  I instantly loved the sleek design and the unusual black color of the candle.  The candles, of course, mimic the scent of the perfume.  I noticed the patchouli more than any other fragrance, and if you like a strongly scented candle then this will not dissapoint.  As unique as their fragrance, these 7 ounce Pretty Woman Candles are made from an original blend of high quality soy based waxes and a lead free wick with a remarkable 40 hour burn time. 

I also recieved an adorable Pretty Woman t-shirt.  This is such a soft and comfortable t-shirt.  It's classic, fitted, feminine, and looks great with a pair of jeans.  I love that hearing or seeing the words Pretty Woman immediately have me singing the lovely Roy Orbison song and thinking of my favorite scenes from the movie of the same name, and now I can also relate the name to this fragrance. 

I received a bottle of Pretty woman perfume and a Pretty Woman Fragrance candle in black by Barbara Orbison and I have to say the aromas are magnificent !!!!

I am usually not a perfume wearer but this is a very nice scent.  It almost has a bouquet aroma which I find to be very soothing to the senses :)

The candle is a soy based, rich with an exotic blend of bergamot and floral notes with amber vanilla and patchouli.  I LOVE this candle.  It fills the whole room with a very inviting scent !!!

These would make lovely mothers day gifts :)  ::Hint Hint::

Flowerz in Her Hair, Review and Giveaway!

I was recently introduced to a great place online for ordering bows, and other fun hair accessories (and bracelets!) for girls, Flowerz in Her Hair.  As a girly - girl myself, I absolutely adore having daughters to play dress up with, and I love that they (for the most part) enjoy having their hair fixed and wearing dresses and all of that fun girly stuff.  I am impressed with the selection (and I love the Heart Babies Collection), and I really appreciate that orders over $10 receive free standard shipping. 

The owner of Flowerz in Her Hair created her business because after having two sweet and adorable little boys, she was blessed with a daughter and was excited to be able to doll her up.  Shortly before the birth of her daughter she began to search for hair accessories and was dissapointed with the poor selection and low quality items she was finding, and not impressed with the high prices.  Her solution?  Make her own!  After many compliments and being told she should sell her creations, she decided to begin her business.  She sincerely hopes that you enjoy her products and that they help your little one to look like a princess, with Flowerz in Her Hair, every day.  

Amy was kind enough to send us a few items for review.  She selected for us a pink flower clip with a jeweled center and a sophisticated black bow, as well as a white nylon super stretch headband, and a pink crocheted stretch headband.  I love the versatility of everything, you can mix and match which bow or clip you choose to put on which headband, or even choose to wear the headbands plain...or not at all and just choose to put a flower or bow directly in the hair.  They are also stretchy enough that *I* can wear them if I want to.  I'm tempted to borrow the black bow one of these days.  I'm sure my girls wouldn't mind, and I think they'd be delighted to see mommy dressed up in their bows too.  These items are high quality and as long as they are taken care of, they will last.  We are certainly no strangers to bows and headbands, but I have never used flower clips before, and I think I might have a new addiction.  They're so cute!
