Pür Minerals - The Jupiter Palette - Inspired by JUPITER ASCENDING

So, recently I got to check out an awesome limited edition makeup palette.  Based on the looks you'll see on the heroine of Jupiter Ascending, the Pür Minerals kit has just what you need to recreate Jupiter Jones look.

To be honest, I hadn't yet heard of the movie, but after looking it up I can't wait to see it.  It's from the creators of The Matrix trilogy, and follows Jupiter (Mila Kunis).  She embarks on an intergalactic adventure with a genetically engineered ex-military hunter named Caine (played by Channing Tatum... hello!), where she learns about what fate has in store, and it has the power to alter the balance of the universe.  It looks to be action packed!  Unfortunately, we have to wait until February (2015) to see it!

So, let me tell you about The Jupiter Palette, which allows you to create a soft daytime look, or go dramatic and otherwordly with dark, smoky eyes.  It includes six absolutely gorgeous EXCLUSIVE eye shadow shades, a lip gloss that lights up, and precision eyeliner.

  • Eye Shadows: Six stunning shades of shadow from subtle neutral to dramatic shimmer help you get Jupiter’s striking look. The talc-free eye shadows come in matte, satin, and metallic textures for a wide range of looks from day to night. Colors include Majesty (pale taupe), Jupiter (burgundy rose), Destiny (matte cream), Caine (twilight bronze), Night Sky (metallic pewter), and Cosmos (cosmic pearl).

  • Galaxy Lip Gloss: Housed in futuristic light-up packaging, the iridescent pink gloss comes with a built-in touch-up mirror for beauty on the go. Feminine and flattering, it’s the perfect finishing step for Jupiter Jones beauty.

  • Space Eyeliner: This liquid precision eyeliner in inky black features a user-friendly felt tip for easy application. Get sharp, clean definition for flawless eyes with this daily must-have.
I am in love with this kit.  When I first read about it, I honestly wasn't sure... I mean, based on a science fiction movie it would SURELY take me out of my comfort zone, but no.  You can choose to go bold if you want, but I have been able to create neutral looks with the shades of brown, and the soft pink, almost nude lip.  Going day to night is super easy by adding in some Night Sky or Jupiter.  I don't think I can pick a favorite item.  I wasn't sure how well I'd like the pink gloss, because it seems like a baby pink, but it just compliments the brown tones in the eye makeup perfectly.

I'd never tried Pür Minerals before and have been amazed by the quality.  The shadows are highly pigmented and have wonderful staying power.  The liner went on super smooth and didn't budge.  One of my main problems with liner is that on one of my eyes, no matter how long I keep it closed to "dry" the liner after applying it, it still smudges when I blink.  This did a LITTLE bit, but nowhere near what any other liner I've ever tried has.  I'm definitely getting more of their liners!  The ONLY thing I felt like it was missing was a mascara.  It would be great if it included one so that you could just have a whole look right there and not need to bring anything else if you were traveling with it or anything.

Okay, don't laugh because I LOVVVE playing with makeup but I am not very good at it.  :X

The Jupiter Palette will run you $29 and you can pick it up at Ulta and Ulta.com, as well as through Pür Minerals.
