Seriously, how cute are these?

Kidorable generously sent us the twirlingly cute Ballerina Hanger Set recently.  Cute AND useful?  I love it!  My daughters love to hang up their clothes if they get to use a beautiful Ballerina Hanger.  I think I'm going to use these to encourage my oldest to pick out her clothes for the week for school with the new school year coming up.  We can pick them out Sunday evening and be ready to go for the week, with them all hanging on on these sturdy, high quality hangers.

The Ballerina Hanger Set includes five hand carved wooden hangers, beautifully hand painted with a pink ballerina slipper design.  You can choose small hangers, or medium depending on the size of clothing you'll be hanging.  What a cute accent to any little girls room!

Nelsons' Pure & Clear

Whatever your age, you deserve to be blemish free.

Nelsons is the UK’s largest manufacturer of natural health care products.  In 1995, they expanded to the US.  Nelsons’ Pure & Clear is a natural skin care system that helps people of all ages experience clean, pure and blemish-free skin. All of the Pure & Clear products are natural and available across the US at Whole Foods Markets and other retailers.

I have struggled with acne for over ten years.  I've discovered some products that work really well for me, and many others that do not.  I'm always willing to try something new because you never know, it just might be *the* product that works miracles on my skin.  I received for review the Nelsons' Pure & Clear Four Step System to clear skin.  As soon as I opened the package I knew I would enjoy using these products.  They smell strongly of Tea Tree Oil, which is something I have used in the past for various reasons and I love the smell.  It's just so clean.

Step 1, is to cleanse.  The Purifying Cleansing Wash helps clear blocked pores.

Active Ingredients:  Arnica Montana tincture, Calendula officinalis tincture, Hypericum perforatum tincture

Inactive Ingredients: Water, Polysorbate 20, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate (vegetable source), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (coconut source), Carrageenan Seaweed) Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl alcohol, Xantum gum, Tea tree oil, Lavender oil, Limonene (essential oil source), Grapefruit oil, Linalool (essential oil source), Petigrain Oil.

As you can see, there are no harsh chemicals, and it is so good for your skin.  When I use this, my skin feels so refreshed and best of all, it did not dry my skin out.

Step 2, Tone.  Use the Balancing Toner to help clarify skin tone by minimizing your pores, and to reduce excess oil.  Simply apply to a cotton ball and swipe across the skin on your face and neck.  I'm really, really bad at remembering to use toners, but I'm always amazed at the results when I do.  My skin feels tighter, more even, and with the tea tree oil in this, it's refreshing.

Active Ingredients:  Arnica Montana tincture, Calendula officinalis tincture, Hypericum perforatum tincture
Inactive Ingredients: Water, Alcohol, Polysorbate 20, Witch Hazel Leaf Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, Limonene (essential oil source), Grapefruit Oil, Linalool (essential oil source), Petigrain oil.

Step 3, Moisturize.  This is such an important step.  As a teen, I avoided putting any sort of moisturizer on my face for fear or it breaking me out even more...but I've learned that using a moisturizer keeps my skin happy and it does not at all contribute to my break outs as long as I use something designed for facial use.  I have a few favorites, but I really love the Nelsons' Pure & Clear Nourishing Moisturizer lately.  I love how clean it smells and, dare I say it again, it's just refreshing!  I love the ingredients in these products.   The grapefruit peel oil is to alleviate oily skin and lavender oil helps heal skin irritations.  Awesome, right?

Active Ingredients:  Arnica Montana tincture, Calendula Officinalis Tincture, Hypericum Perforatum Tincture
Inactive Ingredients: Water, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Sucrose Stearate, Sucrose Distearate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Shea Butter, Cetyl Palmitate, Alcohol Denat, Xanthan Gum, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Lavender Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Limonene (essential oil source), Linalool (essential oil source), Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, Petigrain Oil.

Step 4, is to Treat.  I was sent the Acne Treatment Gel.  I have used several other brands of spot treatment gels, and by far this has been the most gentle.  I will admit that it is not quite as effective for me as others, but I love that it doesn't irritate my skin.  It contains sulfur to help with redness and inflammation too.

Active Ingredients: Arnica montana extract, Calendula extract, Hypericum extract
Inactive Ingredients: Water, Alcohol, Tea tree oil,  Trolamine, Carbomer, Limonene (tea tree oil source), Linalool (tea tree oil source)

I'd be interested in trying the Acne Treatment Tablets too.

Check out these great Blemish Prevention Tips at the Nelsons' website!

I also love that none of the Nelsons' Pure & Clear products have been tested on animals, and they do not use any endangered plant species.  It's nice to know they care not only about their consumers, but about the planet as a whole.

Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Sand Toys Review

Sunny Patch is an imaginative world filled with whimsical, adorable characters boys and girls will love. With their Sunny Patch friends to help guide them, children are inspired to learn about and appreciate all living things. Our Sunny Patch brand has been thoughtfully designed to encourage kids and families to find new and enjoyable ways of exploring their world together, while bringing a spirit of playfulness to everyday activities.

It's just not summer for a child without playing in the sand, is it?  I know I spent hours as a child at the park that was just a few feet from my front door, playing in the sand.  My girls do the same in our own back yard, so I was excited for the opportunity to let them try out a few sand play toys from Melissa & Doug.  I have long been a fan of their toys for my children, and I knew I would be able to expect quality and hours of imaginative fun from these items.

My first thought as I opened the box that contained these summer gems, was oh-my-stars-how-CUTE-are-these!?  Seriously, they're adorable.  Brightly colored, and just plain fun!

We received four sand toy sets, including the Seaside Sidekicks Sand Cupcake Set, the Seaside Sidekicks Sand Baking Set, the Clicker Crab Shovel and Pail Set, and the Seaside Sidekicks Sand-Molding Set.

While my girls loved *everything* I would have to say their favorite has been the Seaside Sidekicks Sand Cupcake Set and the Sand Baking Set.  They will sit outside in the sandbox for hours and hours baking and decorating sand cupcakes.  They search the yard for little flowers to use and just have a blast.  They have little tea parties with them and they bring me the creations they have made and show them to me so proudly.

We just got back on Friday from a week long beach vacation, and while we didn't have a ton of room to bring all of the sand toys, we allowed the girls to fill up a small box with their favorite sand toys to take with us, and most of the box was filled with the Melissa & Doug favorites, and most importantly, those cute cupcakes!  It was so hard to get them to leave the beach even after hours, because they just were *not* finished playing in the sand.

As a mom, I love how sturdy these toys are.  There is no concern of them breaking just from being stepped on by accident or even just from normal play.  These toys are quality and will last a long time, I forsee these being used for years and years.  Many could even be used to play with in the snow, too!  How fun would snow cupcakes be?  I also like that the prices are very reasonable.  From just $9.99 to $14.99 for something that provides hours of entertainment and encourages creativity and imagination?  Sold!

I think I'll surprise the girls with the Speck Seahorse Sand Ice Cream Set and the Seaside Sidekicks Sand Cookie Set before the summer is over.  The entire Sand Play line is so cute!

Summertime and the Livin' is Easy

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love to take road trips.  I think mostly because every summer as a child, we took a cross country road trip and it was such a fun experience.

One of these days, I'd like to take a road trip to Branson, Missouri.  What a great summer adventure we could have there.  Branson, Missouri, is located about 40 miles South of Springfield and right in the Ozark Mountains.  Breathtaking views, and lots of opportunities for family fun.

I would especially like to visit the Silver Dollar City amusement park. It reminds me a bit of Knott's Berry Farm.  I have such good memories of visiting there as a child and I think my children would enjoy the park very much.  I also wouldn't mind going to the Titanic museum.  The history is my cup of tea!

Branson offers many ongoing shows and events just perfect for your enjoyment this summer.  There is a Family Fishing Weekend, National KidsFest, The Souled Out Band Concert, and much, much more.  You can visit for more information on those events and see what else you might like while you're in the area.

If you need a place to stay while in Branson, be sure to check out the Hiltons of Branson, with the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel.  With the Branson Best Value Vacation Package, you get your third night free and it includes deluxe accommodations at either of these locations.  Plus, two adult and two children's tickets to the Legends of Kung Fu show at the White House Theater, AND two adult and two children's two-day passes to Silver Dollar City.  That's not all either!  You also get a $25 gift card to go shopping with, and a $25 food credit for the Level 2 Steakhouse.   If you're headed to Branson this summer, it's definitely something you might want to look into.

EdenFantasys Highlight - 7/17

Congratulations to EdenFantasys for their recent win of the "O" Award for Outstanding Online Retailer!  What an amazing accomplishment for them!  Out of all of the websites out there that could have been up for this award.

I have to say, that I am not at all surprised that they won this award.  Every single experience I have had with EdenFantasys thus far has been positive.  They have a fantastic selection and they are always getting new items in stock, and the website is just so user friendly.  From reading through the forums, it seems they really take the customers' and communities opinions and thoughts into consideration to make the EdenFantasys user experience a great one.

They really stand out with all of the features the website offers.  Personally, I love reading through the forums and checking out product reviews.  Lately, I have been loving their lingerie selection.  As I mentioned already, they are always adding new items and I have quite a few things on my wish list.  The forums and reviews are especially helpful for lingerie purchases.  I can just do a search on the forum to see if anyone had anything to say about the item I'm looking at, or read the reviews to see if sizing is accurate or if the particular piece has any flaws that might make it not worthwhile to me, or just confirm how awesome something is so I know to keep it on my "to buy" list.

To celebrate their win, EdenFantasys is currently offering 20% off your next order with code WINNER!  This code expires July 21, 2011.

Hi everyone!

Hope you've all had a great weekend.  Being a stay at home mom, and my husbands work schedule makes weekends not that important at this point in our lives...but we've been having a lot of fun this summer.

My mom (Jedea) and I took the girls to Hershey Park this week and had a blast!

The Sweetest Place on Earth!

My oldest loved meeting the Hershey Candy characters.  My youngest, not so much, haha.

My youngest sure enjoyed the food though!

And feeding the ducks all over the park was a huge hit.

Amy Adele, Review

If you're looking for a place to purchase quality customized stationary, invitations, labels, cards and gifts--Amy Adele is the place to go.  I have recently been looking to build up a stash of stationary and business cards for Flip Flop Reviews, so I was excited for the chance to review for Amy Adele.  It was so fun to browse though the website and look at all of the great designs available, and I love that I can customize them to be what *I* want them to be.

I was generously offered a set of customized note cards.  After much browsing (so.many.cute.designs!) I finally settled on the Blue Scallop Border Flat Cards and personalized them to include Flip Flop Reviews at the top.  The blue scallops remind me a bit of ocean waves.  Amy Adele's flat note cards are great for sending out notes and tucking special messages into packages or lunches.  These would make wonderful recipe cards too.  Just add something like "From the Kitchen Of..." at the top.  Cute!  The possibilities are endless, and these are so nice to have on hand.

The note cards arrived quickly after ordering.  They came nestled in a beautiful drawstring storage pouch, and the box also included a sweet thank you for ordering note, as well as a note card stating that all of the items at Amy Adele are printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper, even the envelopes and labels.  The packing peanuts tucked into the box to keep your order safe while shipping are biodegradable too!  I love that Amy Adele cares about our environment.

The 3.5"x5" cards are crisp and clear, and printed on quality paper.  There are so many delightful designs to choose from.  They're sure to put a smile on the face of anyone who sees them.  I received a pack of 24, and I was pleased to find out that note cards from Amy Adele *always* include envelopes!

I will be sure to keep Amy Adele in mind for birthday invitations next time I need them.  When I was browsing for the note cards, I peeked at the selection and the invitations are adorable.  Check out Amy Adele for all your customized stationary needs and while you're at it, become a fan on facebook to hear about great promotions and new styles!

Piggy Toes Press, Crayola Wipe Off Books

I love reading.  When I was a little girl, I don't think I ever went to bed without a flashlight and a book (or two, or three!).  It is very important to me to encourage a love of books and reading in my children.  So far, I think this is going very well.

Piggy Toes Press creates quality pop-up, novelty, board, gift and activity books for children to keep them engaged in learning, and to keep reading fun.  I have fond memories of this Sesame Street book.  My husband used to be in the military, and while he was deployed he would participate in the United Through Reading Program.  He read this book to our daughters while he was in Afghanistan and they sent a dvd of him reading it as well as a copy of the book to us.  The girls loved it so much, that the book is a little worse for wear at this point...but I can't bear to just replace it as it has sentimental value.

Piggy Toes Press kindly sent my daughters one of their delightful Crayola Wipe-Off Books.  Retailing for just $8.95 (and well worth it), these bright activity books are perfect for young children.  We were sent the Numbers book.  This 24 page book includes a dry-erase marker (low odor, I didn't notice any odor at all actually) and it really wipes off easily with just a dry cloth or paper towel.  The book is rather large, which makes it a bit akward for storing (at least here in my house it does, it doesn't quite fit on our bookshelves), but the size really makes it perfect for sharing with a sibling...plenty of room for children to sit side by side and work on the activities.  I love that all of the activities are simple and fun, but educational.

My just turned 5 year old (as in, just this past weekend turned 5!  Where does the time go?!?) is working on learning to write her letters and numbers.  She hasn't been to preschool so we work on writing a lot here at home.  This was a fun way for us to practice!

Check out my little chatterbox! :o)
