The Cream Perfume Company

Based in Southern California, The Cream Perfume Company caters to active lifestyle enthusiasts and to people all over the world who share an appreciation for natural, effective and affordable personal care products.

The Cream Perfume Company works exclusively with internationally renowned perfumers and the local artisans of Grasse to develop premium nature identical oil blends, ECOCERT certified organic essentials, absolutes and pure plant and fruit extracts. Their perfumes are all phthalate free and contain no sulfates, petro-chemicals, synthetic dyes, triclosan, GMO, PPG, MEA, DEA, TEA or formaldehyde donors, AND their products are cruelty free.

Their perfumed body moisturizers contain pure and naturally derived oils and extracts from nature combined with our premium French certified organic essential oils to combat dehydrated, sore, inflamed and damaged skin. The lotions prevent signs of aging with improved tonicity, elasticity and a desirable plumping effect. They are uniquely fragrant, sooth your skin, delight your senses and layer well with their top-of-the-line solid perfumes.  As well, their perfumed body moisturizers are 100% vegan, wheat and gluten free, contain no glycol, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, synthetic additives or synthetic fragrances.  They strive to use the world's best ingredients to luxuriously hydrate and repair your skin, combined with unique fragrances to simply delight your senses. The Cream Perfume Compnay also focuses on environmentally friendly packaging and overall eco-value.

Their line of solid perfume was developed as a more affordable, healthier and natural alternative to higher-priced fragrances that are packaged in elaborate, environmentally unfriendly materials and incorporate ethanol, petroleum carriers and other undesirable fillers. By eliminating the bulk of ethanol and water, they are able to use significantly less expensive, alternative and eco-friendly container materials such as wood, and incorporate natural carriers like beeswax and sweet almond oil as was the original practice in perfumery for many thousands of years.
I love finding natural, eco-friendly products, so I was excited to try out a few items from The Cream Perfume Company.

They were kind enough to send me a bottle of their Rose Body Moisturizer, as well as a container each of their Ylang Ylang d'amore, and Mango poudré solid fragrances.

I have to say I am not really a fan of the Rose.  I can't say enough good things about the actual moisturizer.  It's thick and creamy and applies well.  My skin was left soft, and not at all greasy.  As much as I like to smell an actual rose now and then (like the dozen sitting at my desk right now, thanks for the Valentine's Day gift, honey!), I just don't want to smell like one, and the fragrance from this moisturizer was very strong.  Normally that wouldn't be a bad thing as far as I'm concerned.  I like for my fragranced body products to have a good strong scent, one that I can actually smell and one that lasts for more than five minutes after I put it on.  This moisturizer does not dissapoint as far as that goes.  I just didn't care for this particular scent.  I think I would love any of their other moisturizer scents, I'd love to try the Coconut Vanille lotion, as well as the Lavender and the Coconut (I love coconut!  Can you tell?).

What I was most excited to try, were their perfume solids.  I find that the solid fragrances actually hold the scent better and it lasts longer when worn.  This little pot of fragrance will also last a LONG time, a tiny little bit goes a long way.  Mango poudré was tropical and delicious.  As much as I love coconut, this is not a scent I would have normally chosen for myself but it is very nice.  Their scent description reads: Truly seductive scents of mango and cassis balanced with timeless jasmin and candy sugar accord. A tropical favorite with sandalwood, musk and vanilla.  I can definitely make out all of those notes in this perfume, and I enjoyed it.  My favorite of the lot, however, is the Ylang Ylang d'amore.  I *love* ylang ylang.  I have a small bottle of ylang ylang essential oil that I often dab onto my pulse points and wear as a perfume.  Their scent description says: Enjoy exhilirating scents of ylang ylang, mandarin and jasmine in this classic perfume. Trailed by notes of apricot, cedarwood, orange flower, patchouli and musk. And enjoy I did.  :o)  I did find the musk to be a little strong, but overall, this is great scent, and I know I will wear it again and again.
