The Book of Lost Fragrances - Get Your Copy TODAY!

I'm so excited to tell you about a book that is available for purchase today!  Best selling author M.J. Rose creates The Book of Lost Fragrances.  A sweeping and suspenseful tale of secrets, intrigue, and lovers separated by time, all connected through the mystical qualities of a perfume created in the days of Cleopatra—and lost for 2,000 years.

Jac L'Etoile has always been haunted by the past, her memories infused with the exotic scents that she grew up surrounded by as the heir to a storied French perfume company. In order to flee the pain of those remembrances--and of her mother's suicide--she moved to America. Now, fourteen years later she and her brother have inherited the company along with it's financial problems. But when Robbie hints at an earth-shattering discovery in the family archives and then suddenly goes missing--leaving a dead body in his wake--Jac is plunged into a world she thought she'd left behind.

Back in Paris to investigate her brother's disappearance, Jac becomes haunted by the legend the House of L'Etoile has been espousing since 1799. Is there a scent that can unlock the mystery of reincarnation - or is it just another dream infused perfume?

The Book of Lost Fragrances fuses history, passion, and suspense, moving from Cleopatra's Egypt and the terrors of revolutionary France to Tibet's battle with China and the glamour of modern-day Paris. Jac's quest for the ancient perfume someone is willing to kill for becomes the key to understanding her own troubled past.

Aside from the promising story, what is unique about this book is that Frederick Bouchardy, owner of Joya Studio was so moved by the book he was inspired to created a fragrance, Âmes Sœurs, to evoke the novel's theme of soul mates that can find each other through fragrance after thousands of years.  What a fantastic idea!

I should be receiving a copy of the book and a sample of the fragrance soon, so I'll be sure to tell you all about them as soon as I can.  I'm already intrigued!

About the book: Publisher’s Weekly named it one of springs 10 best suspense books and called it a “deliciously sensual novel of paranormal suspense.” It’s an Indie Next Pick for March as well as a Starbucks Book Club pick.

“The highest achievement of any novelist is to create a world so real you can see, feel, hear and touch it. In the case of THE BOOK OF LOST FRAGRANCES, the author M.J. Rose wrote a book where the reader enters the novel through their sense of smell. THE BOOK OF LOST FRAGRANCES has many layers that intertwine ancient and contemporary perfumery against the backdrop of historical, social and political drama. But it is the author's deft storytelling about a love that transcends time that ultimately transforms the book from a work of fiction into a rare glimpse into the realm of possibility of the tenacity of the human soul.” Cafleurebon.com

“A spellbinding love story and historical novel of mystery, reincarnation, ancient Egypt. Rose's in-depth research about fragrance adds to the pleasure in what I think is her most exciting book yet. Being imm

"Smoothly blends historical events, compelling characters, and international intrigue into an absorbing and thrilling ride through the centuries." —Library Journal

“Amazing... utterly engrossing. Elegantly written, with unforgettable characters. Will keep you up all night—and leave you with powerful feelings of revelation, wonder, and the infinitude of human possibility." —New York Times best selling author Douglas Preston
