Busy, Busy (Back-to-School & Mabel's Labels Review)

Our oldest has started Kindergarten!

And this is how her younger sister feels about it:

Poor kiddo!  She's super clingy and having a lot of separation anxiety.

Lots of reviews and new posts coming your way soon!  :o)  We've been busy enjoying the Summer, and now adjusting to the new routine of the school year.  I'm one of those super lucky moms who has been able to enjoy sleeping in for much of the past few years...while I won't say my girls never woke up early (and they certainly did as babies and young toddlers), this Summer has amazingly seen the girls sleeping in until 10am, easily.  I told you, lucky!  Getting up at 6 and 7am is now wearing us out!  :o)

Something that's come in very handy for back-to-school (or in our case, just plain starting school) have been our Mabel's Labels

These were created by moms who were frustrated by the amount of stuff that left their houses with their children, never to return. After much research and lots of testing, they successfully created the perfect labels for all the stuff kids lose.  Mabel's Labels help identify clothing, school supplies, shoes, backpacks and more. The labels are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe.  Mabel's Labels was kind enough to send us an  Ultimate Back-to-School Combo kit.  this particular kit is only available until September 30th, so but sure to get this bestselling Combo before it's gone.

The Ultimate Back-to-School Combo includes:

  • 50 Tag Mates™

  • 40 Skinny-Minis™

  • 16 Shoe Labels

  • 2 Teeny Tags™

  • That is 108 (!!!) personalized labels.  This seems like a lot, but let me tell you, they go quick.  Currently you can add an extra sheet of 40 Skinny-Minis™ (with the same name, same design) to your order of the Ultimate Back-to-School Combo for just $11.95, and I think that is totally worth it and they would come in handy.

These adorable, customizable, and sturdy labels all came packaged neatly in a little green storage box.  I can't tell you how handy this box is!  It can be used to store the labels and tags in at all times, and I was able to slip the slim box into one of my kitchen drawers and I always know where all of the extra labels are.  We are on day four of Kindergarten and it seems I find I need a new label for something (shoes, a sweater, a snack container...) every day.

I *love* this combo kit!  The Teeny Tags were so easy to just clip on to my daughter's backpack and lunch box.  I don't have to worry about them coming off, and my daughter thinks they are so cool.  She picked the Butterfly design.  The Skinny Mini's have SO many uses!  School supplies, lunchbox containers, show and tell items.  You can put these on anything.  The Tag Mates (and all of the labels, actually) really STICK.  You don't have to worry about them falling off or peeling off, even after washing.

I wasn't really expecting to use the Shoe Labels much, but I figured I'd better label her shoes in case she ever took them off in class... but what has really been awesome about those, is that despite the age difference in my girls, they have recently begun wearing the same shoe size.  So now, with two pairs of the same shoe, we can easily see who's is who's in the morning and eliminates my three year old coming downstairs with two left shoes on her feet because she knows the other left shoe belongs to her sister when she sees the sticker.  :o)
